While trying to work with the palette of artist Vivian Lindoe for an upcoming exhibition, I noticed the same colours in the landscapes around me. The first series of square paintings are an exploration of Lindoe’s shapes and forms. The following series of small paintings are my explorations of the muted colours of winter that will emerge into the vibrancy of spring. These six paintings were studies in preparation for the“In Dialogue with Vivian Lindoe” exhibit showing from January 22 to February 26, 2022 at the Salmon Arm Arts Centre.
