The return of the salmon is a significant event each fall in my town of Salmon Arm, British Columbia. It signifies the ability of the natural world to persevere, restore, and replenish itself despite great obstacles. These fish travel thousands of kilometres to find their way home and repopulate. I have tried to capture the bright colours, movement and light in these pieces.
